Vintage rhinestone brooch pin is an absolutely gorgeous, four-layer, rhinestone pin in what appear to be a combination of acrylic and crystal rhinestones in deep purple, rose and lavender in silver tone metal. This pin is fresh from an estate and looks quite old and is quite heavy. We were surprised that upon close examination, some of the larger stones appear to be acrylic. This was surprising as the pin looks like it should date from the 1940s. Its design and execution is reminiscent of the older Eisenberg pieces. The central, pear-shaped, purple rhinestone measures a whopping 3/4 x 1/2". It is flanked by a fan of navette and pear-shaped rhinestones that alternate in purple and lavender. The base of the pin is composed of large (approximately 12MM) purple rhinestones, medium-sized lavender rhinestones and rose colored smaller rhinestones. There is a graceful curve that is lined with small rose colored rhinestones that lays atop the piece to balance the design in a beautiful way. The pin measures approximately 2-1/4 x 2-1/8" and has a safety closure. It is in Excellent Condtion and we think the colors and design of this pin make it a timeless beauty.
