| This beautiful strand of genuine freshwater pearls features whopping 12MM, chunky, baroque pearls in silvery shades of lavender with a gorgeous, sterling silver hidden bead closure. These pearls are made by artifically inserting foreign objects into mollusks which causes the mollusks to create pearls over time in the same manner that natural pearls are created. We love the unique natural shapes and colors of irregular pearls with their luminous shadings and luster that lend themselves to more casual attire. The only difference between freshwater and natural pearls is that the foreign object which becomes the nucleus of the pearl is inserted intentionally rather than as an accident of nature.
