Item Description:
Striking German vintage Art Deco necklace combines a black onyx pendant that has applied sterling silver and marcasite basket motif center decoration with bullet-nose shaped black glass beads that are "cut" with slices of faceted-edge clear crystal and alternate with crystal faceted beads. The necklace measures a generous 16-1/2" and has a sterling silver bezel and sterling silver marcasite-appointed closure. The central medallion is encased in a sterling silver bezel and measures approximately 1-3/8 x 1". The bezel of the necklace is stamped "Sterl" and part of the word "Germany" is also stamped next to it. The necklace is genuine vintage Art Deco dating to the 1920s-30s.
