Item Description: |
| This is a wonderful hair piece, made to cover a bun at the back of the head. The faceted beads are made of black glass, commonly called French jet glass; the faceted pieces are affixed to a wire frame. The frame has been damaged through use, but given its age it's in good shape and still quite useful. There are two spots that are damaged and we have tried to show that in our pictures. Estimated to have been produced about 1880. No maker's marks. |
