Item Description:
This is a lovely example of the era of the sash buckles and the brooches. This one has art nouveau type flowing lines with a lightly goldtone beaded edging. The glass stones of red, blue, green, & yellow are all bezel set. It has nice fancy filigree work in the center. It measures 2 1/2" wide x 1 3/4" high. It has the old "C" type closure which works well. It is in very good condition. You might want to polish it a little more, I sell my items "as found". Most of these brooches were from the Victorian era. Sash pins were worn to hold a ribbon-like material that women wore around their waists from the late 1800’s to the mid teens.
