Lafitte Desirat Fashion Doll - 1902

Louise Augusta Lafitte-Desirat of France produced dolls in 25 different styles of high fashion dress between 1900 and 1924; this beautiful lady was created in 1902.  She stands 13 inches tall, has a wax head and kid leather-wrapped wire body and is dressed in a lace and linen gown over taffeta with tiny silk ribbon trim.  She has a light brown human hair wig, and a hat with plume.  Her feet have delicate high heels painted on the soft leather.  She is on her original wooden stand with the label "1902".   She originally was holding an item in each hand but these are now missing; there is a tiny tear on the back of her right sleeve. Wax is still a pale color on her face, with some wear to paint as pictured.  Overall condition is very good for the age.
