This beautiful brooch is pictured on pages 225-26 in Julia Carroll's book Collecting Costume Jewelry 202. In an advertisement "Memo to a smart woman..." from 1961, the brooch was shown to originally retail for $7.50. This ad featured some of the most beautiful jewelry produced by Trifari in the 1960's. This brooch's current estimated value is listed at $80!...How times change!
This crescent-shaped brooch measures 2" wide x 2-1/4" high and features beautiful deep yellow navette and amber chaton rhinestones. The stones are set with decorative prongs in a goldtone setting. "TRIFARI" with a crown is imprinted on the back.
This piece will be a beautiful accent whether spending an evening at the theatre, going on a cruise, or celebrating a wedding.
