Air -- The Quest for Mach One Autographed Book

"The Quest for Mach One" is autographed by pilots Chuck Yeager, Bob Hoover, Jim Young & Bob Cardenas.  Also signed by oral interviewer for the book -- Dan Kilanowski and book commentator -- MacMcKendry.  It is rather rare to see the four pilots autographs in one book.

The Quest for Mach One is a first-person account of Breaking of the Sound Barrier and marked the 50th anniversary of an event that heralded the birth of a new age in aviation:  the day Check Yeager flew faster than the spped of sound flyijng the Bell X-1 rocket airplane. 

Penguim Studio's The Quest fo Mach One celebrates the men, the airplane, and the triumph of breaking the sound barrier.   More than 100 fascinating photographs, together with candid first-erson narratives of the X-1 team members themselves, reveal the details of this momentous achievement.

These autographs were obtained by retired Commander Richard Dietz, US Navy Pilot, at a book signing held at the San Diego Aero Space Museum in the late 1990's.  Commander Dietz was on the staff at the Aero Space Museum at the time.  If necessary his son, Jim Dietz will verify for the above autographs.
