Vintage Bow Pin: Vintage Vermeil Bow Brooch, Sterling Bow

This huge sterling vermeil bow pin straight out of the 1940's is exceptionally pristine and large, measuring approximately 4" X 3". The plating over the sterling is in rose gold--so beautiful with that huge chunk of ruby colored, emerald-cut central stone measuring 5/8" X 7/8" and 4MM prong-set ruby-red roundstones on each "loop" of the stylized bow. The pin is signed, "Sterling by Glamour" in a round cartouche on the reverse of the pin. It has a safety closure and as a charming touch, the original owner's name is engraved on the reverse, "Flo Pyrek" in flourishing script. This is one that will make any collector's heart stir in appreciation of this fine example of 1940's costume jewelry!
