Item Description:
Taxco Mexican sterling silver and crushed stone pin is also a pendant. There is a warrior type face in ethnic headdress in sterling silver that rises flush with the crushed stone and contrasts beautifully with the turquoise, deep green and cobalt blue of the crushed stone. This stunning vintage piece measures approximately 1-3/4" and has a safety closure as well as a bale that will accommodate a chain, cord or ribbon slightly under 4MM thick. In Excellent Condition, this beautiful vintage Taxco pin pendant is signed with two initials that may be IR or YR in a circle of letters that spell "Taxco .925 Sterling". The #3 Eagle Stamp tells us that the piece dates from 1948 to 1980. This is a beautifully crafted piece in an ethnic style that will make a unique wardrobe accessory as well as a wonderful Taxco sterling silver collectible.
