NECKLACE SOLD This is a nice set from an estate and features a pair of sterling clip on earrings with smooth azurite stones measuring 1-1/4". They are signed NG Sterling and I believe them to be Native American designed. The matching pendant is not signed and it also measures about 1-1/4" only it has a different style setting. The sterling beaded necklace is 15" and the clasp on it is signed Italy. These came from the estate together. However, if you would like to purchase seperately, just let me know. Azurite is copper based and was used both by the ancient Egyptians and Native Americans. It was thought to provide protection from evil spirits and also as a healing stone. Native American jewelry combines cultural, religious and the beauty of nature to produce some of the most beautiful silver jewelry in the world. Many tribes produced jewelry and each reflected their own personal culture. Choctaw, Seneca and Iroquois were among the earliest artists and were joined by the Navajo, Hopi and Zuni in the 20th century.
