Beautiful sash brooch measuring 201/4 x 1-3/4" and featuring a framed rose colored glass stone and winged insect. Finish is textured and sides foldover in a unique design. Older c-clasp on the back..In the photo the stone looks more orange or coral, but it is actually a rose color. FAQ - Sash pins or brooches were made to hold in place "sashes" draped over the shoulder or tied around the waist as a belt. Popular in the late Victorian, Edardian era 1890 - 1910.
