Item Description:
The Clara Barton stamp was issued by the United States Postal Service on June 29, 1995 as part of the Civil War Issue series. Clara Barton was the founder of the American Red Cross. This marble paperweight weighs 6.8 oz on my postage scale. It measures 2" wide x 3" high. The raised plastic cover reproduction stamp measures 1 1/8" wide x 1 1/2" high and has a goldtone frame. It is still in its original white box which shows very light soil. The side paper label is: "Fine Marble Base, Made In Italy". The base has a paper label which I think can be read in my photo. The base has a green felt protector on each corner. The paperweight is in very good condition. It is turned in the photo in order to avoid the glare on the stamp portion.
