Item Description:
Very old and rare pair of Chinese Cast Iron Boy & Girl (Children) Statue Figures. Most likely this pair adorned a fence post or some type of statuary grouping.
The cast iron surface is rusted a corruded, but the cast iron is solid and should last a few more generations of display. The interior of the hollow statues have a very heavy buildup of some type of softened cement or material that held them to a pole or attachment.
The features of both the boy and girl are still very clear in the cast iron.
The girl measures 7 1/2 inches in height and the boy 7 inches. Both are 3 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches deep. The girl weighs four pounds and the boy 3 pounds 6 ounces.
This pair is most likely worth much more than $195, however, I am pricing them according to my purchase amount.
