A beautiful porcelain dresser box made in Austria M&Z Company and handpainted by Floyd in a lovely pink and mulberry floral design on pale green background. Gold accent on lid. Very good condition. A ladies " Vanity" - A private place to ponder, play, reflect and dream. A place to try out a new hairstyle, perfume or expression. Beautiful dresser and vanity containers or boxes were considered a necessity for a ladies boudoir. They were used not only for powder, but for hair clippings, small trinkets, rings and scent pomanders. They were made of glass, porcelain and metals - sometimes gold or sterling.
