Beautiful Piccadilly Mesh Purse With Porcelain Insert

This beautiful purse was made during the early 1920's or before and the style was called "Piccadilly" purse. Whiting Davis was one manufacturer, however this one is not signed except for "Piccadilly Soldered Mesh". However it is the most unusual one I have seen. It is delicately engraved all over the frame with a floral design. There is a small compact built into the frame of the purse that could hold powder or rouge. I have not been able to get this open and there may be something missing in the way of a clasp. The other half of the top clasp is also missing. However, the ultra fine mesh is in good condition with only one or two loose rings. The unusual design is the bottom of the purse which features a round 1-1/2" porcelain romantic litho scene. Except for the above, this would be a great edition to any collection. - the frame tests out 800 silver.
