A rather exotic Pair of Bronze Parrots on a nice Marble Base. These parrots weigh nine (9) pounds each. They have nice detail in the bonze and some highlights of brighter bronze and copper. We have had these in the store for about a month and they have been greatly admired, but not bought, so now it is time to give the shoppers on the web a chance for these nice birds. The measurements are above. Some of the appraisers comments: These lovely birds were made at the time when animals particularly exotic birds were popular to have captured in bronze and sculpture rather than the usual person or parlor figure. They are excellent examples of Chinoiserie and will compliment any room of exotic quality. Replacement Value: $200. |
