This is a signed Van Briggle pottery vase, made in his factory in Colorado Springs, dated 1907. Artus Van Briggle originally worked for the Rookwood pottery before coming to Colorado Springs to improve his health. After his death in 1904 his wife took over the factory.   This is a wonderful example of Van Briggle pottery, it is signed and of course, this vase should increase in value in the future; AmericanArt Pottery is very hot right now and will probably become even more desirable as these pieces become harder to find. This vase was appraised for $1200 replacement value and current fair market value of $1050.  Higher shipping rate is mainly due to insurance cost.  It appears the number mark is either 49 or 549.  Please let us know if you know the number or correct description of this piece.
